Ben Hauser is a Korean adoptee raised in New York State and currently living in Seoul. He's a manager at an English academy and also has his hands in a bunch of different projects, including an upcoming young adult fantasy book series about adoptees called, "Legends of Agria," with the first book "Hearts on Scales." It will soon be available through Amazon, iTunes, other ebook stores, and physics stores. He also has a ton of other things in Korea going on, so you'll just have to listen to the episode to find out more!

Analisa Freitas is an extremely busy Peruvian adoptee and the FIRST non-Korean guest to the Rambler!
She is the Bronx Organizer & Climate Justice Campaign Lead for Faith in New York (FINY), the NY state affiliate of the PICO National Network. She was born in Lima, Peru, adopted at two months old, and raised in California’s Central Valley. Analisa earned her Bachelor of Arts in Cultural Studies at Sarah Lawrence College and Lehman College in New York. During her junior year, she returned to her birth country to study sociology and anthropology at Pontificia Universidad Católica del Perú in Lima. She experienced a reunion with her birth mother and birth brother, and returned to her indigenous roots in Huari, her birth family’s hometown. Analisa has focused on developing environmental outreach, education, and leadership programs for local underserved communities as a Community Organizer for the Tuolumne River Trust and an East Coast Coordinator of Latino Outdoors. She has also advocated for state- and national-level clean energy policy in her role as Project Coordinator of Voces Verdes, a national Latino grasstops advocacy program under the Natural Resources Defense Council’s Center for Policy Advocacy.
She currently sits on the Board of Directors for the Gift of Identity Fund, and is adjunct staff with The Ties Program, a Senior Fellow of the Environmental Leadership Program, and a Natural Leader for the Children & Nature Network’s Natural Leader Network.

Hwa Jin Jeong is a Korean adoptee and a radio and multimedia professional living in Brooklyn, NY. Originally from Washington, DC, and Denver, Hwa Jin Jeong attended Wesleyan University in Connecticut, where she studied radio production. Currently, she curates multimedia stories and builds a global community of storytellers as the Editorial Director at Cowbird.

Hollee McGinnis is a Korean adoptee currently getting her PhD in St. Louis, MO. She is the founder of Also-Known-As, Inc. in New York, which is currently coming up on its 20th Anniversary. She has written for the New York Times, and is a powerhouse in the international adoptee community. She talks about founding AKA, the first Korean Adoptee Gathering, growing up in Westchester, NY, the many faces and identities of adoptees, her research, family life, and more!

Kristina Alger is a Korean adoptee who grew up both in Hawaii and Oregon, and now lives in Seoul. This week, she talks candidly with The Rambler about growing up and the role of religion growing up, her experiences in Korea, and the value of Uniqlo’s Heat Tech! She is a former co-president of KAHI (Korean Adoptees of Hawaii; kahawaii.org), which is having their 10th Anniversary this year!
Benjamin Coz is a South Korean adoptee from The United States, Duluth, Minnesota and has a degree in social work and will be pursuing a masters in social work in Chicago in March. He is currently residing in Seoul, South Korea and has lived in Korea for the past 4 years teaching English and studying Korean. He is the guitar and vocals for the Seoul, Haebangchon based indie band 'A Collective Effort'. He is also a bboy and member of the Seoul based crew 'Seoul Seekers'.

Mad go Hygge is a small cooking and baking studio between Hongdae and Cinchona. The decor and interior recreates the warm atmosphere of a Danish summer residence but in the end it’s all about the people.

In this inaugural episode of the Rambler, I interview Danny Maiuri. Daniel was adopted from South Korea and grew up in Southern California. He has lived in California, Chicago, South Africa, and New Orleans before moving to New York. Daniel is currently the President of Also-Known-As, Inc., in New York City (www.alsoknownas.org), and it's his second year on the Also-Known-As Board of Directors.
